dc.description.abstractThis paper attempts to analyse quantitatively the growth and development of Knowledge Management Research in India in terms of publication output as reflected in Scopus database. During 1999-2007 a total of 51 papers were published by the Knowledge Management researchers to various domains: Business, Management and Accounting (24), Engineering (18), Social Sciences (7), Computer Science (6), Decision Sciences (6), Multidisciplinary (4), Mathematics (3), Environmental Science (2), Agricultural and Biological Sciences (1), Earth and Planetary Sciences (1), Economics, Econometrics and Finance (1), Materials Science (1). Year-wise growth of publications and input of records to Scopus database by India is analyzed. More than 80 percent of publications were published in journals. The most preferred journals were International Journal of Information Technology and Management (7), Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research (4), Electronic Library (2), Human Systems Management (2), Journal of Knowledge Management (2), International Journal of Technology Management (2), International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management Proceedings (2), Proceedings Frontiers in Education Conference (2), others journals each (1). There were as many as 24 (47.06) papers contributed by single author. There were five authors contributions is zero and more than 5 authors contribution is less than 1(1.96). The publication behavior indicates that the Knowledge management researchers were lowly selective in publishing.en_US
