Abstract: The study examines Green Energy Research in India as revealed by the scholarly publication indexed in web of science (WoS) for a period of fifteen years from 1999 to 2013. Most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in 1016 journal articles. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 1105 research literatures published, 94.5% of them or published under the joint author of publications in Green Energy research output. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law. This shows that team research is prevalent in the area of Green Energy. It also analyses the characteristics of most productive institutions, authors and high-cited papers.
