Abstract:	This research work attempts to analyze quantitatively the growth and development of Nanotechnology Research in India in terms of publication output as reflected in Web of Science Database (SCI) for the period 1998 to 2006. The researchers have published a total of 79 papers on Nanotechnology during this period. The study reveals that Nanotechnology research in India is still in its infancy
